Vote for us!

Community Spirit needs your votes to secure much needed funding.

Please help us to win funding by voting in the Aviva Community Fund. To do this simply click here, register or log in to Aviva and vote for Support for All (Anxiety and Depression). It only takes 1 minute and could make a huge difference to us.

Both locally and nationally the number of people suffering from Depression or Anxiety is increasing. Whilst Mental Health is recognised as an important issue there is still a lack of support available locally. To address this we have recently started a support group in Consett which meets fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon. (Click here for details). We would like to expand this group and extend the service to offer the same support to the people of Stanley.

In order to do this we have applied to Aviva Community Fund for a grant of up to £5000. This money will be spent on providing demonstrations, activities and qualified speakers for each the groups. Details of the activities will be decided upon by the individuals in the groups and will reflect individual interests and needs, but it is anticipated that topics such as relaxation, healthy eating and exercise would feature.

Aviva Community Fund grants are allocated to projects based on the results of a poll. The project that gets the most votes in each category will receive the funding they have requested. Each person can cast up to 10 votes, which can be used to vote for 1 project or spread over a number of projects. Voting closes on Tuesday 21st November 2017. Community Spirit needs your help to secure this funding to deliver the support that is needed for local people. So please vote and encourage your friends and family to the same if you value and support our work.
